Hey guys! If you’ve been on my blog before you’d know that it’s just one giant bucket list (my official ultimate bucket list can be found here.)
Which by the way, I update all the time by adding things on and ticking things off so I recommend checking somewhat regularly for never ending inspiration for creating (or adding to) your own bucket list.
Every time I’ve completed something on my bucket list I’ll be writing a blogpost about it.
209) Try ordinary skincare ♡
On my bucket list is to try Ordinary skincare so I finally got to complete this when I received a product from them in my ASOS box! I thought I’d do a review of everything I got in this box.
This box cost me £12 and appealed to me straight away after I tried the last ASOS box which was a tanning box.
These boxes are full of amazing brands and aren’t part of a subscription so you can pick and choose the boxes that appeal to you but it also means that you have to be quick to purchase them before they sell out.
All products are perfect to add to your summer skincare routine and I love the variation of amazing brands in this box and I feel like the sizes are generous.
All boxes have the same contents and you see what’s in them unlike a beauty box subscription which I personally prefer.
Here’s what I got:
Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion 30ml
This light, refreshing treatment lotion with Reishi Mushroom, Sea Buckthorn and Fermented Chaga rapidly reduces visible redness and restores resilience.
Origins is such a well-established skincare brand so I was really happy that this was in the box.
As they don’t sell 30ml bottles of this product, it’s classed as a sample but I worked out that 30ml of this product would be worth £4.50.
Nip + Fab Hydrate Dragon’s Blood Fix Hydration Mask
Deeply hydrating sheet mask.
For plumper, softer and more youthful-looking skin.
Contains Dragon’s Blood (from the Croton Lechleri tree) that helps protect the skin from environmental aggressors.
Place mask onto cleansed skin and leave for 15-20 minutes.
I haven’t really used many Nip + Fab products before so I really like that they have a product in this box, especially a face mask! Face masks are my absolute favourite products as they make for such a good treat to add to your evening skincare routine.
This product is £7.50.
Emma Hardie Protect & Prime SPF 30 15ml
Skin protecting and priming cream
Lightweight, non-greasy texture
Mongongo Oil, Oat Extract and Vitamin E help to guard skin from premature aging, sun damage and environmental exposureSPF30, gives the skin eight hours of protection against UVA and UVB
Apply daily on cleansed skin – can also be worn under makeup as a primer
I’ve never tried anything from Emma Hardie before yet I’ve always wanted to so this is the perfect opportunity!
This product comes as a 15ml which they do not sell so therefore it’s a sample size. I worked out that this amount of product is worth £6.90.
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads 28 Pads
Inspire a natural, healthy glow with the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads.
Combining the perfect amount of lactic and glycolic acids to make the pads safe for daily use, they work to improve skin’s clarity whilst visibly reducing the look of pores and diminishing the appearance of fine lines for a brighter, smoother, younger looking complexion.
I haven’t tried this brand before again, these boxes are such a great way to try brands that you haven’t before. I tried one today and it felt really nice, I can’t wait to carry on using these.
These pads are £14 which is already the price of this box + £2.
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% 30ml
High-strength vitamin and mineral blemish formula
Contains Vitamin B3 to reduce the appearance of blemishes and congestion
Balances visible sebum activity
Apply to face morning and evening before heavier creams
To try something from the Ordinary has been on my bucket list for a little while so I’m so happy this was in the box!
This product is £5.
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS BOX:
♡ I love that this box was £12 excluding P&P and was worth £37.90.
♡ I love the variation of products and that a mask was included.
♡ I love that all brands are well-known and popular.
♡ I love that it came with a little information card which tells you a bit more about the products and in which order to use them which I found very helpful
WHAT I WASN’T SO KEEN ON:
♡ I feel like this box was missing a cleanser or a micellar water
♡ The Emma Hardie product is kind of defined as a primer/moisturiser but I would have loved to have seen a stand alone moisturiser as its sole purpose as I feel like that, along with a cleanser, is one of the most important steps in any skincare routine.
Overall I would certainly recommend this box which you can find here as all the products featuring in this box seem very promising and it’s such great value for money with the box being over 3x worth the amount you paid for.
Another bucket list item ticked. What’s next?! I’ll be ticking off another bucket list item next week and I’m so excited to share my experience with you guys but until then thank you so much for reading and being part of my bucket list journey!
Thank you so much for reading! Please leave a comment telling me all about your furry friends! Are you a dog lover too? Have you ever tried a pet subscription box? I’d love to know!
